Stone Designs was founded in 1998. After selling my flower shop of 18 years in the business, I found lots of time on my hands. I started making jewelry and fell in love with it.
I began making jewelry full time, selling at shows and boutiques.
In 2009 I entered a nationwide beading competition and my freeform peyote necklace was awarded the Bronze Medal for the Czech Glass category.
I began submitting my designs to Bead Trends magazine, a national publication, and was first published in April 2009. In September 2010, one of my bracelets was on the cover!
I have also had my designs published in Stringing magazine, Bead Unique magazine and on the internet in Beadwork magazine's on-line Reader's Gallery.
I am very conscientious about my work. My designs are all professionally finished and I use quality materials.
If you have a design in mind, whether it's beads or jewelry, just contact me and we will work together to bring your design to fruition.
~About The Beads~
In 2005 I saw an ad in the paper for a lampwork bead class. I took the 2 hour class, a one-on-one with the teacher and myself, and was hooked!
It took 2 years for me to get my studio together, but I have been melting glass ever since and loving every minute of it!
I have an eclectic syle of earthy, organics and florals. I am always curious about trying new techniques, color combinations and styles.
My beads are flame to kiln annealed in a digitally controlled kiln and cleaned with a Dremel drill. Most of my sets are made on a 1/16" mandrel and focals on a 3/32" mandrel.
I am a member of the group Self Representing Artist #D77 which assures that the beads you buy are made by the artist, not mass produced, and also a member of the ISGB, International Society of Glass Beadmakers and local chapter, Fire and Rain Group, and SRAJD, Self Representing Artist Jewelry Design.
My beads have been published in several glass magazines, like The Flow, The Glass Bead and Soda Lime Times.
I have a customer satisfaction guarantee on all my beads and jewelry.
